Tweed Shire Council constructed and opened the Murwillumbah Civic Centre in 1975 as a multi-purpose auditorium. The venue was opened by the Hon. Tom Lewis on 24 May 1975. The Auditorium has performed a valuable role for the Shire and its community over the past 39 years.

You can enjoy a range of water activities on the Harbour. A local Fish & Chip shop is right at the Harbour. Jack Evans Boat Harbour is host to several events throughout the year from the annual Dragon Boat Race to the spectacular New Years Fireworks display.
